The Data Arena runs a 16-channel audio system. You might think of it as "14.2" audio. Yes, 16 independent speakers. The underlying hardware driving this is an RME Fireface UFX attached to Solo.

There are 14 Genelec Speakers arranged in a ring around the screen at head-height, and then 2 x LFE (Bass) Speakers set on the ground at opposite sides. Total is 16.

The Data Arena Screen is perforated with tiny holes which allows the speakers sitting at head-height directly behind the screen can be heard. Each speaker can be addressed separately. Objects on screen can appear to have a sound which comes from that screen-position.
