Gentoo Linux
Gentoo is a popular rolling release distribution of Linux that acts as the underlying operating system of the Data Arena and its companion, the DAVM. Gentoo can be automatically optimized for the hardware it is running on, as all packages installed are compiled directly from source. Gentoo uses the Portage package manager to install software.
