Unreal Engine 5

The Data Arena supports Unreal Engine version 5 and the numerous features and benefits provided over version 4. These include the Lumen global illumination and Nanite virtualised geometry systems, both of which operate across our 8-node cluster.

Version requirement: 5.2.1

As of January 2026 we can confidently support projects developed in version 5.2.1 and lower. 5.2 projects have been thoroughly tested across our cluster, including the use of input devices such as our Space Mouse, rendering on our 32K stereoscopic display, and spatial 7.1ch audio playback.

Latest versions

We are actively testing the most current versions of Unreal Engine 5 (including 5.7.1 as of January 2026). These latest versions have been running successfully on our system, but further testing is being conducted before we recommend development for Data Arena projects
