Which version of Unreal Engine can I use?

The Data Arena currently only supports Unreal Engine projects created in version 4.25 or older (as of August 2022). Final project packaging for the DA needs to be completed on one of our workstations. Older projects (e.g version 4.23) can be easily upgraded.

How do I install 4.25?

From the Epic Games Launcher, go to the Library tab, press the + next to Engine Versions (if needed) and select 4.25.4 from the version dropdown.

Can I downgrade my existing project to 4.25?

Unfortunately no, Unreal Engine doesn’t support downgrading. However can export project assets and re-import into a new 4.25 project, and copy/paste Blueprint graphs where possible.

What plugins are supported?

We run a Linux operating system, so any third-party plugins in your project need Linux support. If this is an issue for your project, we may be able to assist.
